Indoor Air Quality

Indoor Air Quality

Indoor air quality is an important component of any forced air system that allows the air we breathe to be cleaner and healthier as well as extend the life of your equipment.

Filtration

Standard 1" air filters are the most common and basic form of whole-house air filtration, they're primary purpose is to filter large particles from getting caught in the A/C coil and can do an adequate job of filtering dust.

4" Media Filters are recommended in most HVAC Forced Air system, they allow for greater filtration, with a MERV 11 rating but due to the larger width, do so across a larger surface area which doesn't cause a drastic pressure drop in a forced air system that is typically associated with 1" filters.

HEPA filters are the gold-standard in whole-house indoor air quality. Connecting a whole-house HEPA filter to your system can filter out allergens, dust, cooking odors, mold and pet dander. HEPA Filters are 99.97% effective at removing particles down to 0.3 microns.
